Ildikó Tóth-Kissné Lang

I have been a member of the Budapest Strings since 2015.

My career as a violin artist started in Győr. In the Secondary School of Music in Győr, I had the opportunity to participate in numerous competitions under the tutelage of my teacher Teréz Bakosné Tripolszki, winning awards at the National Koncz János violin competition twice.

At Liszt Academy of Music, I continued my studies under the guidance of Ferenc Halász and Géza Kapás. In the meantime, I became the student of Dresdener Akademie für Alte Musik where I learnt from Simon Standage.

At that time the Orfeo Orchestra was formulated under the leadership of György Vashegyi, and I have been an active member of it ever since.

Towards the end of my studies, I won the Jeunesse grant of the Symphony Orchestra of the Hungarian Radio and, subsequently, became a member of the same.

As an auxiliary musician I played in the Budapest Festival Orchestra for years.

During my long career as a musician, I have worked with numerous ensembles, and participated in many album recordings.

These include the Savaria Baroque Orchestra (Pál Németh), Capella Savaria (Zsolt Kalló), Esterházy Hofkapelle (Márton Rácz), Concerto Armonico (Péter Szűts, Miklós Spányi)

With my husband, who is a double bass artist, we are the happy parents of our four daughters.
