Péter Surján

He was born in Budapest in 1988. He started learning the violin at age seven and the piano at age eight at Járdányi Pál Music School, under the tutelage of Lászlóné Tardos and Erika Becht. Between 2003-2007 he was the student of Weiner Leó Secondary School of Music, his violin teacher being Zsuzsa Németh. He is tutored in chamber music by Balázs Arnóth and Sándor Papp.

In 2007 he was admitted to Liszt Ferenc University of Music where his violin teachers were Péter Somogyi and dr. Zsófia Járdányi and he learnt chamber music with Rita Wagnera and András Keller. He graduated from Liszt Academy of Music in 2014 and earned his teaching degree a year later. Between 2013-2015 he was the member of the Classicus Ensemble. Since 2015 he has been a violin artist member of the Budapest Strings and the teacher of Járdányi Pál Music School. He was a founder and has been an active participant of Omnibus concerts, organised since 2019.
