Krisztina Lendvay was born in 1978 in Dunaújváros where she completed her basic music education, following which she graduated from Kodály Zoltán Secondary School of Music in Kecskemét where Vilmos Buza was her teacher. Between 1996-2001 she was a student of Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Péter Kubina’s class, followed by a fellowship year with the Tibor Varga Music Academy in Sion where she graduated from 2002, her teachers being Tibor Varga, Gábor Takács-Nagy and Ferenc Bokány.
Starting from that time, she worked in numerous symphony and chamber orchestras: the Óbuda Danubia Orchestra, the National Philharmonic and the Weiner-Szász Chamber Symphony Orchestra. Since 2015 she has been a permanent auxiliary musician and since 2019 a member of Concerto Budapest.
Since 2003 she has been playing the double bass with the Budapest Strings and undertakes an important role in compiling the concert programmes of the orchestra.
