Emil Petrovics, a composer and one of the defining personalities of the Hungarian art life, passed away ten years ago, on June 30, 2011. The Budapest Strings evoke his figure with a moving string orchestra piece, followed by Chopin’s popular piano concerto in F minor featuring soloist, Tamás Érdi. Few know how much Petrovic liked Chopin’s music, he would mention the Polish genius among the greatest – Michelangelo, Bach and Bartók.
